Spreading Warmth: Southern Team Subaru and Operation Warm Gift 400+ Coats to Local Children

At Southern Team Subaru, “Southern Values” means more than just providing great service—it means showing up for our neighbors when it matters most. Recently, we had the incredible honor of partnering with Operation Warm and TAP into Hope to ensure that local children stay warm and confident this winter season.
Through this partnership, we were proud to host a charitable event where more than 400 brand-new winter coats were provided to children in our community.

A Perfect Fit for the Community
The event was a true team effort. Volunteers from Operation Warm, TAP into Hope, and Southern Team Subaru came together to create a personalized experience for every child. Rather than just handing out supplies, our volunteers worked one-on-one with the children to personally fit them for their new coats.
The best part of the day? Watching the kids’ faces light up as they picked out their favorite colors. These weren’t just coats; they were a source of pride and joy for children in urgent need.

Subaru Loves to Help
This donation is part of the national Subaru Loves to Help initiative. As a brand, Subaru is dedicated to supporting communities and spreading warmth across the country. Locally, Southern Team Subaru is committed to bringing that mission to life right here in Roanoke.
We believe that no child should have to brave the winter cold without protection. We are honored to have played a part in making a difference for these families—one coat and one smile at a time.
