Investing in Education: Southern Hyundai Supports Local Classrooms

At Southern Values, we believe in supporting the foundational institutions of our community, and that starts with our dedicated teachers and students. We are excited to share the details of a recent initiative led by Southern Hyundai Newport News that made a significant impact on local education.

Keith McCullers, General Manager at Southern Hyundai Newport News, initiated a special sales promotion aimed at providing local teachers with essential items for their classrooms.

A Powerful Promotion for Public Schools

The premise was simple yet impactful: For every new vehicle sold during the promotion, the dealership donated $50 towards DonorsChoose.org.

Donors Choose is a phenomenal non-profit organization that allows individuals and businesses to donate directly to specific public school classroom projects across the country. This ensures that every dollar reaches exactly where it is needed most.

Direct Impact: $2,850 for 5 Classrooms

Thanks to the hard work of Keith and his Team, the promotion was a resounding success, raising an impressive $2,850!

This generous contribution directly funded five classroom projects, providing teachers with crucial resources like:

  • A rolling desk
  • New books
  • A cooling fan
  • Relaxing lighting
  • Classroom snacks

The funds specifically helped projects like Mrs. Correa’s “Write, Read and Shine: Essentials for Our Classroom.”

The Joy of Giving Back

This effort truly embodies the core of our Southern Values commitment to community enrichment. Nothing validates an initiative more than seeing the tangible results—and the gratitude it inspires.

We are so proud to share the heartfelt Thank You notes received from Mrs. Correa’s students, which they wrote specifically for Keith and the team. These notes are a wonderful reminder of the direct, positive impact a dedicated team can have when they choose to give back.
